One of the wonderful things about renting a villa is that you do have the option of cooking at home or eating out. This is a big advantage over staying at a hotel where you always have to eat somewhere. Our villa has all the appliances, crock pots etc. for you culinary use.

There are 3 supermarkets in the immediate area. The first is located on the first floor of the clubhouse. The second market is located in the village of Tambor. And a third is located in Cobano. Butcher shops are located in the nearby towns of Cobano and Paquera. Fresh fish and shrimp etc. are also available in Tambor and Pochote. However, if you are up for some Costa Rican cooking, there are numerous small restaurants within 10 minutes of the villa.

Costa Ricans use a lot of rice dishes with chicken and shrimp. The restaurants in our area always have a variety of fresh ocean fish. The Los Delfines Golf and Country Club operates a 5 star restaurant and bar run by a family from Spain who live in the Los Delfines complex.

In the town of Tambor alone, there are over 10 places to choose from. Our favorite is Costa Estrada. There is also a newly opened Italian restaurant by a family that just moved from Sicily. The Costa Coral restaurant is another of our favorite spots. Marianas restaurant on the beach in Tambor offers a Spanish karaoke night, an excellent choice for family food, fun and entertainment. The Barcelo Resort hotel a few miles from Los Delfines also has outstanding cuisine. The towns of Montezuma, Pochote and Santa Teresa have numerous restaurants and bars.

As you can see there are many opportunities to please you palate and stomach.
